A channel authenticates with an ordinary API token you issue and revoke under Settings — there is no separate password here on purpose, because a second way of proving who is calling is a second thing to get wrong.

Inventory owned by this property means we are the truth: a booking that would sell a room you do not have is refused, and the channel is told why. Choose this if you sell your last room from the front desk.

Inventory owned by the channel means they are the truth: the booking is taken even when it oversells, and the oversell is reported by the night audit and shown in red on the availability calendar. Choose this if your inventory is managed centrally, and accept that the desk will occasionally have to find somebody a room.

Leave the push address blank and nothing is queued for them — they read /api/v1/availability when they want it, which is the same numbers.

Kept against the channel's own reference, so the same booking delivered twice is recorded once — which is what lets a channel retry safely when an acknowledgement goes missing. A refused booking stays on this list with the reason it was refused.
